This retractable baby/pet gate is durable, easy to install, and much simpler to operate than squeeze-handle gates or makeshift solutions like boards. It’s sturdy enough to withstand force, though the mounting brackets could be better for larger stair trim, and the quick-closing mechanism takes adjustment. A reliable choice for pet and child safety.

I got this gate for my deck to keep my dog safe outside — works great! I used my own weatherproof screws for extra strength (you should too). The gate is plastic, so it's good for outdoor weather, and it looks clean, not ugly. It rolls back nicely when not in use. Best part? You can remove it easily in winter to protect it. Super happy after trying many options — this one finally worked!

This gate has excellent build quality and was a breeze to install. I liked the fact that it came with peel-and-stick adhesive to allow you to line up the mounting clips into position before drilling/screwing them to the wall/frame. This way, you don't need to measure and align where you drill the holes.

We bought the gate to block off our gym room, as our dog (puppy) wouldn't stay out of the gym and kept getting into trouble.

Would defiantly recommend this gate and would buy again without hesitation.

We got 2. 1 to keep the doodle out of the kitchen when needed and a 2nd one to keep her upstairs. We installed the kitchen one first and put it 6" off the floor so the cats could still walk under it. Annoying and ugly but it works and keeps her out. Then I installed the 2nd one at tge top of tge stairs. We couldn't raise it so I cut a hole in it instead (wish I had thought of that for the other gate). It's perfect.
